In Loving Memory

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here on earth, that animal goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are safe and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing. They each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head. You look once more into the trusting eyes of your friend so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.........

Cachet, our baby, we miss you so much. Chloe misses her sister so much too, I love and miss you so much there isnt a day I dont think about you, my darling little baby,  love mum xxx 

I saw a peaceful meadow
Flowers scattered everywhere
Crystal clear brook babbled
Bird song filled the air

In the distance majestic mountains
Near by trees rustled in the breeze
Animals of every species
Played among the leaves

There was no fear or sorrow
I felt only tranquility
As I searched their faces
For the one I longed to see

Then I heard beautiful singing
Its colors filled the air
Formed a perfect rainbow
A bridge to take me there

So many Pomeranians
A beautiful sight to see
And standing in their midst
One who shared her life with me

Her tail was waving gently
As she sang a welcome song
Her eyes were clear and shinning
Once again my baby was strong

Arms that had felt so empty
Were filled by an angel in fur
A gift beyond measure
This precious time with her

I don't know how long it lasted
It could have been moments or days
For Rainbows are spun from Magic
And time isn't counted our way

I wanted to stay forever
In this place outside of time
But knew I must leave for a while
This little angel of mine

She promised we would be together
Again someday in this place
And when I came forever
The first thing I'd see was her face

You may say I was dreaming
But I have proof I was there
When I awoke in the morning...
In my hand was a lock of her hair.

Billy, your mummy misses you a lot.

I stood beside your bed last night
I came to have a peek
I could see that you were crying
You found it hard to sleep

I whined to you softly
As you brushed away a tear
"It's me, I haven't left you,

I'm well, I'm fine, I'm here."

I was close to you at breakfast,

I watched you pour the tea,

I saw you hugging Mia

And knew you were thinking of me.

I was with you at the shops today
Your arms were getting sore
I longed to take your heavy bags
I wish I could do more

I walked with you toward the house
As you fumbled for your key
I gently put my paw on you
I smiled and said "It's me."

You looked so very tired
And sank into a chair
I tried so hard to let you know
That I was standing there

It's possible for me to be
So near you everyday
To say to you with certainty
"I never went away."

You sat there very quietly
Then smiled, I think you knew
In the stillness of that evening
I was very close to you.

And now the day is over...
I smile and watch you yawning
And say "Good night, God bless,
I'll see you in the morning.

And when the time is right
For you to cross the brief divide
I'll rush across to greet you
And we'll stand side by side

I have so many things to show you
There is so much for you to see
Be patient, live your journey out
And then come home with me

God saw your getting tired

When a cure was not to be

So he closed his arms around you

And whispered come with me

You did not deserve what you went through,

He insisted you must rest

Gods gardens must be beautiful

As he only takes the best

In time I watched you sinking

I watched you fade away

My heart, it was breaking

As you fought so hard to stay

But now that you are sleeping

So peacefully from pain

I couldn't wish you back to us

To suffer that again.

It broke our hearts to lose you

But you didn't go alone

As part of us went with you

The day god took you home

 

Mena you were my best friend through teenage years and my loyal companion till you died aged 16, wait for me at Rainbows Bridge my baby, Love you  Mum xxx
